Post Malone, Shane Gillis Tease Super Bowl Commercial for Bud Light

Bud Light isn’t waiting for the Super Bowl to start talking about its Super Bowl commercial.

During the coverage of the AFC and NFC Championships on Fox and CBS this Sunday, you’ll catch a sneak peek of Bud Light’s Big Game promotion featuring artists Post Malone and comedian Shane Gillis. In the teaser, they are seen lounging in lawn chairs, seemingly in a suburban driveway, discussing the rule that prevents alcohol consumption depiction in TV commercials. This leads them to count down the seconds until their advertisement ends.

Earlier this week, Anheuser-Busch InBev revealed that Danny Malone and Nick Gillis will feature in a commercial for one of their iconic products during Super Bowl LIX. Notably, it marks the fourth time Malone has been part of a Bud Light Super Bowl campaign, while this is Gillis’s first appearance in a Bud Light Super Bowl advertisement.

Anheuser-Busch InBev is planning to air three minutes worth of commercials on Fox’s telecast of the Big Game, which will take place in New Orleans on February 9. Alongside these advertisements, Michelob Ultra and Stella Artois will also be promoted during this football extravaganza.

2024 saw Bud Light unveil the Bud Light Genie in a Super Bowl ad. This friendly entity fulfilled numerous wishes for a group of friends throughout an extraordinary night. As the commercial drew to a close, these friends found themselves socializing with Peyton Manning, Post Malone and Dana White, UFC’s CEO.

Bud Light’s choice of Malone and Gillis as representatives implies they are continuing with their humorous approach that has kept them a long-lasting Super Bowl sponsor. In 2023, Bud Light attempted to reach new audiences by featuring Miles and Keleigh Teller dancing to phone hold music in an advertisement, which was unusual since female characters are seldom seen in Bud Light ads, and the premise was more refined compared to their usual frat-boy themes and party-centric promotions.
