PopularMMOs, a YouTuber, has been out of prison for 100 days. He was sent back to jail after a drug test in May of last year showed he had alcohol and marijuana in his system, violating the terms of his probation.
Patrick Julianelle, also known as ‘Pat’, is a popular YouTuber with more than 17 million followers. He’s famous for his gaming videos, especially those focused on Minecraft.
So, I noticed his channel just… stopped. No new videos after 2023. Then things got really serious – in November 2024, Julianelle actually pled guilty to assaulting a police officer. It was all caught on the officer’s body cam, and the video went public back in May 2025. It was pretty shocking to see, honestly.
The video shows Julianelle asleep on a sidewalk near a neighborhood street. When police arrived, they discovered marijuana and a large amount of Fireball whiskey in his backpack. Because recreational marijuana is illegal in Florida, where this happened, Julianelle panicked and tried to run away, which led to a brief struggle with the officers.
Afterward, Pat received a 12-month probation period and was required to complete 100 hours of community service. This included an evaluation for substance abuse with any necessary follow-up treatment. He also had to donate $1,000 to the Police Memorial Foundation and write a letter apologizing to the officer he attacked.
In December 2024, Pat tested positive for drugs on a urine test, which led to a parole violation. He was arrested in February 2025 for this. Then, in May 2025, a warrant was issued for his arrest again after another urine test showed the presence of marijuana and alcohol, constituting a further violation of his parole.
Fans praise PopularMMOs as YouTuber makes long-awaited comeback
On September 18, 2025, Pat reappeared on social media, sharing photos that documented his life recently. The pictures showed him exercising, getting medical care at a hospital, and enjoying time outside.
He shared in his post that he’s been out of jail and sober for 100 days, and has been focusing on getting healthier, both mentally and physically.
He shared that he’s been sober and out of jail and rehab for over 100 days, and is getting back in shape. He also said things are going well, as he has a great girlfriend and friends who support him.
If we’ve lost touch over the past few years, it’s likely because I was struggling with addiction, and I wasn’t really myself. Since getting clean, I’m learning how to live a sober life, and I’ve been focusing on my mental health, which is why I haven’t been in touch with many people yet.

People have been sharing lots of positive comments and support, with one fan saying the news brought them so much joy and reminded them of happy childhood memories.
“This just made my entire month,” another said.
“You’re an inspiration, Pat. Thanks for letting us know you’re doing well,” another remarked.
It’s currently unknown if or when he’ll start creating content again. However, fans are pleased to hear he’s recovering and has been making positive changes while taking a break from the internet.
