Police arrest YouTuber for attacking man on stream over “black magic” allegations

A YouTube personality residing in Ohio was apprehended following a road trip aimed at confronting a young girl whom he suspected of practicing ‘dark arts’. The encounter escalated during his live stream, resulting in a dispute with the girl’s uncle.

Online, Brandon William Liedtke – known as ‘ProfoundEffectTarot’ – has built up a following of close to 30,000 subscribers over the past five years. He primarily shares Tarot card-related content on the platform.

According to reports, it’s said that on December 29, 2024, Liedtke allegedly traveled approximately eight hours from his home in Ohio to Cleveland County, North Carolina, with the intention of live-streaming an encounter with a perceived adversary.

In a video he shared on his channel, Liedtke asserted that someone was allegedly employing “dark sorcery” towards him and pestering him via social networks.

He approached the person’s house and explained, ‘This is the consequence of your actions.’ He wanted to make it clear that he wouldn’t tolerate any form of black magic or harassment on social media. ‘I refuse to be a part of such behavior,’ he emphasized. ‘Let’s handle things in a more respectful manner instead.’

Upon placing my camera aside, I found myself standing before Liedtke, who implored me to advise my beloved niece to cease her practice of dark sorcery.

The man inquired, “What are you referring to?” before asserting that his niece was not old enough to be bothering him online. Later, he departed and reappeared shortly after, carrying a firearm, explaining to the camera that he had it for “safety.

Additionally, he clarified that his family had no connection whatsoever with witchcraft, extending a friendly greeting to welcome the YouTuber to North Carolina. However, the YouTuber showed reluctance in reciprocating the handshake.

Apologies, folks. I’ve traveled quite a distance, but duty calls, and I must respond. With that, it seemed like I was engaging in a fierce battle, as I moved to confront the individual, soon disappearing from view.

Moments afterward, I found myself facing off against not just one, but three more individuals who had emerged from the house, all drawn into this heated argument. As a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but feel my blood boil as the YouTuber continued to allege that our group was tapping into dark arts.

As reported by The Shelby Star, Brandon Liedtke initially left the area, however, authorities found him later inside a vacant structure without obtaining permission from the property owner.

Officers assert that Liedtke invoked “dark sorcery” as a pretext for assaulting the individual, who was attempting to calm the situation down. This person then employed the firearm in self-defense and ensured the YouTube personality departed from his premises.

Liedtke faced charges for simple assault, first-degree unlawful entry, misdemeanor conspiracy, and obstructing a public official. He was taken into custody at the Cleveland County Detention Center and put up a $15,000 bail.
