Police in Ohio have arrested two men, nicknamed the ‘Hamburglars,’ who are accused of stealing over 300 pounds of hamburger and sausage from a local food bank.
Police arrested Juan Anguiano, 32, and Justin Flint, 24, after they broke into a freezer at the Union City Help Center, a local charity that provides food to families who need it, according to The Independent.
According to police, the suspects made off with about 315 pounds of hamburger and sausage, plus a significant amount of baked goods – including sixteen pies, thirty-six hot dogs, twenty-four packs of bacon, and twenty-four loaves of bread.

Anguiano and Flint are being held at the Randolph County Jail and are both charged with felony burglary and theft. If found guilty, they could face several years in prison. Police suspect Flint may also be responsible for a number of recent car break-ins in the area.

The Union City Police Department jokingly announced on Facebook that they arrested two people for breaking into the Union City Help Center’s freezer. They referred to the suspects as “local Hamburglars” and described the break-in as a poorly planned attempt to steal food.
The department expressed gratitude to the community for their help in identifying the suspects, stating, “Your cooperation helps keep our city safe, and we’re glad the only hamburgers being taken are bought legitimately from drive-thrus.”
