Almost ending prematurely, the memorable Grammy’s moment for popular streamer Pokimane was close to being disrupted by an unexpected wardrobe issue, which was expected to be addressed prior to the grand event.
Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys caused a stir on the internet when she disclosed that she had received an invitation to the Grammy Awards, prompting many of her followers and spectators to eagerly vie for the opportunity to accompany her.
At the high-profile awards event, the well-known live-streamer donned an elegant, black laced gown featuring a deep v-neck and cinched waist – however, this particular dress was not suitable for the red carpet upon her acquisition of it.
In a Twitch discussion following the event, Poki shared that her dress was meant to be custom-fitted before delivery. Unfortunately, when she received the gown on Grammy’s day itself, it was noticeably oversized in the chest region.

Pokimane’s Grammy dress almost didn’t make it to the red carpet
She clarified that her dress should have been altered since the top was too big for her. However, when she got it on the day of, it hadn’t been adjusted as planned.
As I’ve got just ten minutes before stepping out, and luckily the ladies aren’t home, I find myself musing, “I wouldn’t want them around when I’m about to play a game featuring some adult content, like Getty Images!” She chuckled at her own wit.
Fortunately, it was the streamer’s stylist’s assistant who stepped in at the last minute – she had driven to the event specifically to make repairs on the streamer’s gown before the red-carpet walk.
Despite the gown receiving praise from fans, Poki found that its skirt and trailing train were cumbersome, causing her to pick them up as she walked, resulting in some awkward instances during the event.
Not just Pokimane, another prominent Twitch streamer named Kai Cenat also received an invite to the Grammys. During the event, he had the opportunity to mingle with several high-profile celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Kanye West, and even Will Smith.
