Nintendo has added Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness for the GameCube to its Nintendo Classics collection, following their initial announcement last month.
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, a sequel to Pokémon Colosseum, originally came out for the GameCube in 2005. Now, it’s available as an update for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass members through the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics app on Nintendo Switch. You can watch the trailer and find more information on Nintendo’s website.
Trainers at the ready!
In this 2005 role-playing game for the Nintendo GameCube, mysterious Shadow Pokémon have returned to the Orre Region. You play as a young boy living at the local Pokémon Lab with his family, and a surprising event launches you into a big adventure. Using a special Aura Reader to find Shadow Pokémon – Pokémon with closed-off hearts – and a Snag Machine to rescue them from bad guys, you must save the world. Battle against evil forces and help these Shadow Pokémon regain their true selves!
You won’t be able to transfer Pokémon from older Game Boy Advance games to this one.
