Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s trade feature will arrive this January

For quite some time now, the compact version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, known as Pokémon TCG Pocket, has been on the market. However, the much-anticipated ‘Trade’ option, which was hinted at in the Social Hub menu since its launch, remains unavailable with a “Coming soon” label. This is all set to change, as The Pokemon Company and DeNA have officially announced that they will activate this feature this month, specifically in January 2025.

Once the new trading system becomes active, players will have an opportunity to exchange cards that share the same rarity level, ranging from 1 diamond up to 4 diamonds and a single star. However, it’s important to note that trades can only be made with players you have added as friends in your network. Additionally, performing a trade requires spending a specific item. Keep in mind that this system may undergo further modifications based on player feedback, as the developers have committed to making improvements.

This month, Pokemon TCG Pocket isn’t just getting the Trade feature – there’s more! The developers have also hinted at releasing new booster packs this same month. Whether these packs will be available in a single version like last month’s Mythical Island or multiple versions like Genetic Apex remains to be seen, as they haven’t yet confirmed the specific details for their release. So, stay tuned for the official announcement!

The latest official tweet just below indicates that the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is now accessible globally on Android and iPhone devices.
