As a seasoned Pokemon TCG Pocket gamer with over a decade of collecting and battling under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest in-game challenge has sent me spinning like a Drifloon in a hurricane. The Genetic Apex SP Emblem event might be the toughest nut to crack yet, surpassing even the infamous consecutive win streak.
Players of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (PTCGO) have discovered a particularly challenging feat, one that doesn’t involve stringing together consecutive victories.
Currently, the Pokémon TCG Pocket game is facing one of its toughest in-game challenges yet. The Genetic Apex SP Emblem event requires players to achieve five straight victories in Event Battles in order to earn a unique Emblem as a reward.
The challenge is so frustrating, it’s beginning to cause some toxicity in the game’s PVP battles. Fortunately, if you have the right deck, you can sweep through the event fairly easily.
Due to such difficult outs, the SP Emblem event seems trivial compared to the formidable tasks players have encountered. It’s being referred to as the “toughest” mission in the Pokémon TCG Pocket series.
Pokemon TCG Pocket’s lack of Dragon-types never felt so bad
In Pokemon TCG Pocket, you’ll encounter challenges that are represented by achievements. Essentially, these are a set of tasks, each focusing on gathering specific types of cards in certain quantities. Successfully completing these missions will earn you trophies for boasting purposes and some Shinedust, which can be used to customize your gameplay experience.
One of these accomplishments tasks you with gathering Dragon-type cards, and initially, it may not appear too challenging. However, upon recalling that there are merely three Dragon-type cards within the game at present, the task becomes significantly more daunting.
The Reddit example showcases the maximum level of this accomplishment that demands 1,000 Dragon-type cards, but even the minimum 100 needed for the basic trophy is tough to obtain without opening numerous packs. At a bare minimum, fulfilling this achievement should become less challenging as fresh sets introduce more Dragon-types into the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket.
Given our limited stock of Dragon-type Pokémon right now, they’re incredibly potent, so it’s not a bad strategy to accumulate more. The Dragonite deck is one of the strongest in the game, and having additional copies allows you to overwhelm your opponents with an array of Flared cards.
