This timing coincides with Pokémon Day on February 27th, the anniversary of the original Red and Green games’ release. It will also be released in the United States.

This partnership will be featured in a Happy Meal promotion, meaning you’ll probably need to buy a Happy Meal to get the cards.

So, when it comes to what you get in these promotions, it’s usually a little booster pack with just four cards inside. It’s not a huge haul, but it’s always fun to see what you pull!

Typically, one of the four cards is holographic – meaning it has a shiny, reflective surface that glimmers when you tilt it towards the light.

Okay, so everyone’s buzzing about this new promotion, and honestly, I’m really hoping it includes a McDonald’s card featuring Pikachu enjoying a burger! We don’t know for sure yet, but that’s the rumor going around, and it would be SO cool!

This collectible card was first released in Japan, where it became incredibly popular. Demand was so high that McDonald’s actually had to apologize for ending its promotion ahead of schedule because they sold out faster than anticipated.

Adding to the issue, pictures of discarded McDonald’s meals appeared online, as people were primarily interested in collecting the promotional trading cards.

We’ll need to wait for more information and see how the company addresses the issue of ticket scalpers this time around.
