Pokemon TCG leaks tease long-awaited return of Mega Evolutions

As a passionate gamer, I’m buzzing with excitement about the latest rumors surrounding the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It seems like next year might bring us more Mega Evolutions, a feature that’s been somewhat absent from the franchise in recent times. Can’t wait to see how these new Mega Evolutions will shake up the gameplay!

In the year 2016, when Pokemon X and Y hit the market, a significant new feature that stood out was the introduction of Mega Evolutions. These allowed certain Pokemon to temporarily amplify their strength and health points during this transformation, enhancing their power.

On the other hand, Mega Evolutions were swiftly incorporated into Pokemon Go and have remained a significant feature in the game ever since. Many players have been anticipating further additions to the series, as only certain Pokemon are capable of undergoing this potent evolution process.

In contrast, Mega Evolutions, which are significant advancements for the Pokémon series, were not included at all in Pokémon Sword, Shield, Scarlet, or Violet games.

Based on a recent update from PokeBeach, there might soon be new Mega Evolutions appearing in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, as suggested by a recently filed trademark.

Pokemon TCG leaks hint new Mega Evolutions will arrive in 2025

It has been revealed that the titles of the next two Pokémon Trading Card Game collections are out, with their translations being “Mega Valiant” and “Mega Harmony.

As a gamer, I’ve got a feeling that since both these names involve ‘Mega’, it’s likely they’ll bring some fresh Mega Evolutions to the game world!

As a fellow gaming enthusiast, I’ve picked up on something interesting about the TCG (Trading Card Game) releases. Typically, set names from new releases become trademarked within 6-8 months, and they usually follow within two months of a game launch. That said, it’s possible we might see these upcoming sets as early as July 2025, but remember, this is just speculation – The Pokemon Company hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

In 2025, it’s been confirmed that Pokemon Legends Z-A will be released, and there’s been a hint from an Amazon listing about its launch date. With this in mind, it seems likely that Mega Evolutions could significantly impact the next main series Pokemon game coming up.
