As a huge Pokemon Go fan, I’m so excited that the new Tales of Transformation season is finally here! September is packed with events and we’re even getting some brand new Pokemon to catch. And to fit the season’s theme, lots of Mega Pokemon will be appearing in Mega Raids this month – including the debut of Mega Sharpedo, which I’ve been waiting for!
That’s not the only new Pokemon arriving in the game! Several other creatures will be appearing this month, including the psychic-type Pokemon Indeedee and a unique Psyduck sporting a swim ring to commemorate the latest season of the popular Netflix series, Pokemon Concierge. Plus, you’ll get extra opportunities to find the elusive fairy Pokemon Flabebe during September’s Community Day.

September Raid Schedule
A new month means new raid bosses, and there will be plenty to challenge in September.
Both the iconic Pokemon Palkia and Dialga will be available in five-star raids throughout the month, appearing at different times. In addition, several Mega-Evolved Pokemon will be featured in Mega raids, rotating in and out over the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for some new and returning Dynamax Pokemon as well, as they’ll be appearing in Max Battles this month.

September Spotlight Hours
Pokemon Go is hosting more Spotlight Hour events every week in September.
Each Tuesday evening between 6 and 7 PM in your local time, a specific Pokemon will show up in the wild more often, which is a great chance to collect more candy for that Pokemon. Plus, you’ll get an added benefit for taking part in the event, like double Stardust or XP every time you catch a Pokemon.

Kanto Celebration
Pokemon Go is kicking off its latest season with a Kanto Celebration from September 2-7.
During the event, you’ll see more Pokemon from the very first Red and Blue games-like Chansey, Snorlax, and Abra-appearing in the wild. Plus, there will be special event-themed Field and Timed Research tasks available. Completing these tasks will give you rewards such as Mega Energy, chances to catch Pokemon, Stardust, and more.
Throughout the event, we’re offering a few extra perks! You’ll get twice as much XP when you spin the Photo Disc at PokeStops, and Mega Evolution will last three times longer. Plus, if you evolve any Ivysaur, Charmeleon, or Wartortle during the event, they’ll learn the special attacks from their Community Days – Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon, respectively.

- Ivysaur will learn Frenzy Plant upon evolving into Venusaur

Mega Sharpedo Raid Day
Mega Sharpedo is making its Pokemon Go debut during a special Mega Raid Day event on September 7.
You can battle Mega Sharpedo in raids between 2 and 5 PM local time. If you win, you’ll get Mega Energy and other goodies! Plus, you’ll have a better chance of finding a shiny Sharpedo during these battles.
Besides that, there are a few extra perks during the event. We’re briefly raising the limit for how many Remote Raid Passes you can carry to 20. Plus, you can get up to five free Raid Passes by spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms.

Pokemon Concierge Celebration Event
To celebrate the latest season of Pokemon Concierge, Pokemon Go is hosting a special crossover event from September 9-14.
So, during this event, I can actually catch a special Psyduck – it’s wearing a little swim ring, which is super cute! And it’s not just Psyduck, either. They’re adding Pokemon from the Netflix series that I can battle and catch in one- and three-star raids. Pretty awesome, right?
The event will feature free Field and Timed Research tasks, plus several bonus rewards. You’ll get twice as much candy when you catch Pokemon, and your buddy Pokemon will find items for you more frequently.

September Community Day
This month’s Community Day takes place on September 14 and stars the fairy Pokemon Flabebe.
Between 2 and 5 PM local time, you’ll have a better chance of finding Flabebe appearing in the wild – a great opportunity to catch this rare fairy type Pokémon! The color of Flabebe’s flower will change depending on your location:
- Red Flower Flabebe: Europe, the Middle East, Africa
- Blue Flower Flabebe: Asia-Pacific
- Yellow Flower Flabebe: The Americas
- Orange Flower Flabebe: All regions
- White Flower Flabebe: All regions
For a short period, it’s now simpler to get a Florges in the game. You can evolve Floette once you’ve earned seven hearts with it as your buddy Pokémon. If you evolve one before September 21st, that Florges will also learn the exclusive water-type Charged Attack, Chilling Water.
Throughout the event, several bonuses will be available. It will take only a quarter of the normal distance to hatch Eggs placed in Incubators. You’ll also receive twice as much Candy when you catch Pokemon, and both Lure Modules and Incense will last for a full three hours.

Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over
Team Go Rocket is crashing this year’s Psychic Spectacular from September 16-21.
During the event, you’ll find more psychic-type Pokemon-like Abra, Beldum, and Ralts-appearing in the wild. Plus, Lunatone and Solrock, normally found only in certain areas, will be available everywhere, no matter where you are.
In addition to the naturally appearing Pokemon, you might find psychic-type Pokemon such as Smoochum, Espurr, and the new Pokemon Indeedee hatching from 5 km eggs during the event. Team Go Rocket is becoming more active too-you’ll see grunts appearing at PokeStops and in hot-air balloons more often.
Also, a new Special Research storyline will be released during the event. By finishing these Research tasks, you’ll earn the chance to battle Team Go Rocket boss Giovanni, who will be using a Shadow Tornadus.

Shadow Raid Weekend
This year’s Psychic Spectacular is wrapping up with a Shadow Raid Weekend on September 20-21.
Over the weekend, the famous Pokemon Groudon will be appearing in gyms as a Shadow raid boss. This event also marks your first opportunity to find a shiny Shadow Groudon. Plus, you can get an extra free Raid Pass each day by spinning the Photo Disc at gyms.
Completely Normal
The spotlight is on Normal-type Pokemon during the Completely Normal event, happening from September 23-27.
During the event, you’ll see common Pokemon such as Sentret, Buneary, Dunsparce, and Audino appearing in the wild much more often. Ditto will also be more common, but with a twist – it will now disguise itself as various other Pokemon.
A brand new Pokemon will be appearing! During the event, players can finally get their hands on Dundunsparce, the evolved form of Dunsparce. There will be special event-themed Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges to complete, plus opportunities to earn bonuses like double candy when you catch Pokemon.

Mega Camerupt Raid Day
Pokemon Go is hosting another Mega Raid Day on September 28.
You can battle Mega Camerupt in Mega Raids from 2-5 PM local time. This is the first time this Mega-Evolved Pokémon has appeared in Pokémon Go! Plus, if you win the raid, you’ll have a better chance of finding a Shiny Camerupt.
There are a couple of additional perks happening during the event. We’re temporarily raising the limit for how many Remote Raid Passes you can carry to 20. Plus, you can earn up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning the Photo Disc at gyms.

Steel Skyline
Pokemon Go is capping off the month with a Steel Skyline event from September 30-October 7.
So, during this event, you’ll be seeing a lot more Steel-type Pokemon and others that hang out in cities! Think Alolan Diglett, Galarian Meowth, Skarmory, Trubbish, and even Klink popping up more often in the wild. And get this – it’s our first chance to battle and catch a Dynamax Duraludon! This Steel/Dragon type will show up in four-star Max Battles, which is super exciting. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout!
Alongside the special Pokemon, several Global Challenges will be happening during the event. As players work together to finish these challenges, new rewards will become available. You’ll also find free, event-themed Field and Timed Research, plus a paid Timed Research ticket for even more challenges and rewards.
