To celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, Pokémon Go Fest 2026 will be held in three cities around the world: Tokyo, Chicago, and Copenhagen. The event will begin in late May in Japan and conclude in mid-June in Denmark.
Information about Pokémon Go Fest 2026 is limited beyond the cities hosting the event. But Niantic plans to include worldwide events for players who can’t travel to the main locations. Last year, these global events brought Gigantamax starters to Pokémon Go, and similar events are expected for 2026.

Tokyo at Bay Area
- Friday, May 29 to Monday, June 1, 2026
- Ticketed Citywide Gameplay will begin Monday, May 25, 2026
Chicago at Grant Park
- Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, 2026
- Ticketed Citywide Gameplay will begin Thursday, June 4, 2026
Copenhagen at Fælledparken
- Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14, 2026
- Ticketed Citywide Gameplay will begin Thursday, June 11, 2026
Lots of Pokemon Go events are happening in December, including challenging five-star raids and special Spotlight Hours. A new event called “Well-Armed” starts this Thursday, December 11th, and it introduces Clobbopus, a fighting-type octopus Pokemon, to the game.
Pokémon Go updated its leveling system in October, and significantly increased the maximum level players can achieve – from 50 to 80.
