An enthusiast of the Pokémon series has found an old cartridge of Pokémon Blue from Christmas years back, which turns out to be exceptionally scarce due to a minor error in production.
In many cases, people discovering their old Pokemon collections from childhood may find that these items have significantly increased in value due to rarity. This is a frequent occurrence within the community, as certain cards have become extremely scarce and therefore highly prized over time.
Errors or typographical errors often take precedence over perfection, as they can significantly increase an item’s value. In fact, error cards are frequently more valuable than their standard counterparts, especially when the mistake is unusual and scarce.
Furthermore, these issues aren’t exclusive to Trade Card Game (TCG) items. Surprisingly, printing mistakes have also been found on game cases, such as a dedicated fan’s astounding find of a mislabeled Pokémon Blue version tucked away in their closet.

Initially, the second Red item remained sealed, whereas Blue had been stored away in its closet for more than two decades. Amazingly, upon being taken out again not long ago, the container of Blue appeared to be almost pristine, with minimal signs of aging.
Upon closer inspection, astute fans immediately spotted a change from the beginning. It appears there was an oversight during the printing process for the back cover.
In my gaming world, instead of receiving the usual Blue game cartridge, I got one that was identical but had the data from Red. Some folks said this was a typo from the initial release, making it an incredibly rare and valuable collector’s item. On auction sites like eBay, these misprinted sealed copies of Pokemon Blue can fetch prices as high as $126,000 USD – but remember, condition plays a big role in determining its worth.
Check your complete Pokemon Blue! Apparently some boxes (first run?) were misprinted using the text from Red….
