Following the recent announcement of the new Path of Exile league’s start date, Grinding Gear Games has released the first trailer for update 3.27. The trailer reveals the update’s name and offers a first look at what players can expect.
- The new league in PoE will be released together with an extension titled Keepers of the Flame.
- We’ll find out what’s exactly new this Thursday, October 23rd, at 12:00 pm PT during a special live stream.
- Twitch Drops will also be enabled, providing a unique reward for watching.
- The launch of Keepers of the Flame is happening on the last day of the month, October 31st, at 12:00 pm PT.
Like most trailers from Grinding Gear Games, this new one is quite enigmatic and doesn’t give away much detail. The most noticeable things are the prominent purple color and the many hands shown. This immediately leads players to believe the next update will feature or be heavily inspired by the Breach game mechanic, and most are confident that’s the case.
Many players believe the upcoming update’s story could shed more light on the background and history of Path of Exile 2. The update will also bring back the popular Breach mechanic, along with its boss, Xesht, and we might finally discover how it was created.
Path of Exile is available for free on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne, and XSX/S.
