Subscribers to the Extra or Premium tiers of the PlayStation Plus service have access to a wide variety of RPGs. The Elder Scrolls Collection: Gold Road is a massive offering. It includes the core game – which is already incredibly expansive – along with the Gold Road Chapter and all previously released Chapters. That means you also get access to the Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, Greymoor, Blackwood, High Isle, and Necrom Chapters. It initially felt underwhelming because it came after the massive success of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Many people thought of it as simply Skyrim online, but it’s actually a full-fledged MMORPG and a very different experience.

While Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) might not have the same storytelling depth as Final Fantasy XIV, its individual storylines are impressive and greatly enrich the history of Tamriel. In fact, ESO contains more lore about the world of Tamriel than any other Elder Scrolls game. You can explore almost every important region within the fantasy world, and the MMORPG even features unique details not found anywhere else, such as a brand new Daedric Prince introduced in the Gold Road expansion.
