Starting in January 2026, Sony is planning a significant shift for PlayStation Plus: rather than providing PS4 games, they will now primarily focus on offering titles for the PS5. This move is part of the broader evolution of their service, according to Sony’s statement.
Starting from January 2026, exclusive PS4 games will no longer be a primary feature for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Instead, they’ll only occasionally appear in the Monthly Games lineup and Game Catalog. However, some titles that work on both PS4 and PS5 consoles may still be made available after this date, according to Sony.
According to Sony’s statement, any PS4 games that have been redeemed from PS Plus remain accessible for players, as long as they continue their subscription to PlayStation Plus. In other words, these games will stay in your library and can be played until they are removed from the monthly catalog rotation.
Sony announced that they intend to keep improving and enhancing their PS Plus service, aiming to provide even better perks in the future. As they concentrate more on the PS5, they are excited to offer new PS5 games every month for your entertainment.
Sony unveiled that these titles – Payday 3, High on Life, and Pac-Man World: Re-Pac – are part of the upcoming February lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. From early February onwards, all PS Plus members will have the opportunity to obtain these games.
