With the new year here, you might be thinking of refreshing your PS5. Sony is releasing a vibrant new line of limited-edition console covers and DualSense controllers called the Hyerpop Collection. These neon-colored accessories will be available exclusively at the PS Direct Store – the console covers will cost $75 each, and the controllers will be $85. You can pre-order them starting January 16th, and they’ll officially launch on March 12th.
Just like the console covers, the DualSense controllers will come in three different colors. Techno Red is a bold, bright red that gradually darkens to black. The DualSense controller, originally released in November 2020, includes features like adaptive triggers, a built-in microphone, a headphone jack, and a dedicated button for capturing screenshots and videos. Remix Green is another eye-catching option, guaranteed to stand out. Rhythm Blue is a vibrant color too, but it’s a little more muted and calming than the other two, giving the controller a softer look.
Sony doesn’t frequently release new colors for the PS5 console or its DualSense controllers. While special editions often appear for specific games or as limited releases like the Icon Blue, complete color collections are less common. Currently, Sony has released the Chroma Collection and the Deep Earth Collection – both featuring bold and unique colors intended to help your PS5 setup really pop.
Several of these controllers are still available on Amazon, and they cost less than the Hyperpop Collection – just $80 each. The Chroma Indigo, Chroma Teal, and Chroma Pearl controllers have been particularly well-received, with many players praising their stylish, layered look. The Deep Earth controllers offer a similar design to the Chroma Collection, but with more color options like Sterling Silver, Cobalt Blue, and Volcanic Red.
