Following the successful remasters of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 and 3+4, the OlliOllie series continues to be popular. Fans are eagerly awaiting Skate Story, and the Skate franchise is making a return with a fourth installment, often referred to as Skate 4. Even though it’s currently in Early Access, the game has already proven incredibly popular, causing server issues with long wait times. Because Skate 4 is free to play, the game’s servers are currently overwhelmed with players. Many fans are experiencing long wait times and can’t log in to play. It’s important to know that an internet connection is always required, as this is an online multiplayer game – you can’t play it offline or freely explore the game world without connecting to the game servers.
Even the creators of the new game, Full Circle, are surprised by how popular it’s become – this is their first project! They’ve announced on the game’s Discord server that they’re working to fix the long wait times players are experiencing, but it will likely take a while for things to return to normal.
Considering Skate is free to play and still being developed as an Early Access game, it’s understandable that there are some issues.
