Pizza Hut updates hand-tossed crust for first time in a decade

Pizza Hut has changed its classic Hand-Tossed Pizza crust recipe for the first time in over ten years.

Our Hand-Tossed crust has been a customer favorite for over 40 years. It was last updated in 2014, and this newest version is designed to be light, airy, and perfectly balanced – soft yet crispy.

The pizza’s crust now features a new Garlic-Parm Hut Blend – a delicious mix of parmesan cheese, garlic, and butter – to make the edge even tastier.

I’m really excited about the new Hand-Tossed crust! It’s actually part of a bigger thing Pizza Hut is doing called “Hut Crust,” where they’re really showing off all their awesome crust choices – Hand-Tossed, Tavern Style, and Thin ‘N Crispy. It’s cool they’re giving each one some love!

I’m so excited about this new campaign! They’re running a great deal right now – you can get any large pizza with three toppings for just $10, and you get to pick your favorite crust too! It’s only for a limited time, so I’m definitely taking advantage of it.

To promote the new menu items, Pizza Hut is launching a nationwide ad campaign featuring a revamped version of Donna Summer’s classic disco song, “Hot Stuff.”

To celebrate Pi Day, the company is encouraging customers to submit videos reviewing their new and improved pizza crust. Those who share their feedback could earn money!

Pizza Hut is holding a national contest to find its first “Crust Connoisseur!” To enter, simply try their new Hand-Tossed pizza and share your honest opinion on Instagram. Be sure to use the hashtags #pizzahutcrust and #pizzahut_contest, and include the phrase “Hut Crust Connoisseur” in your post.

Applicants must also submit their reviews through pizzahutcrust.com between March 11 and March 25.

We’re looking for a ‘Crust Connoisseur’ to sample and give feedback on our new pizza crust recipes. This role pays $31,415.92 – a nod to the first seven digits of Pi – and includes a year of free pizza!
