We’re getting another 104 days of summer vacation.
Disney unveils the debut trailer for the resurrection of “Phineas and Ferb”, reintroducing the renowned step-brother inventors on television screens once again, a decade since their initial series ended.
Based on the given synopsis, “the upcoming season of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ sees the ingenious step-siblings embarking on another 104 days of summer adventures. This time around, Candace is more resolute than ever in her attempts to expose her brothers, while their pet platypus, Perry, continues his secret life as the sophisticated Agent P, dedicated to foiling Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s plans to conquer the Tri-State region.
Initially, the award-winning TV series aired 140 episodes spanning four seasons from 2007 to 2015. This series gave birth to various spin-offs and movies such as “Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension” on television and “Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe” on Disney+. The show focuses on two genius step-brothers, Phineas and Ferb (portrayed by Vincent Martella and Thomas Brodie-Sangster), who spend their summer holidays inventing elaborate gadgets and going on extraordinary journeys. Their carefree spirit for wild, sometimes risky, fun drives their sister Candace (Ashley Tisdale) to her wits’ end as she tries relentlessly to expose them to their mother (Caroline Rhea). Notably, they also own a pet platypus named Perry, who secretly leads a life as a super spy.
Together with Tisdale, Martella, Baker, and Rhea, the revival features the voice acting return of series creators Jeff Marsh and Dan Povenmire, as well as Alyson Stoner. David Errigo Jr., who previously played Ferb in “Candice Versus the Cosmos,” will once again take on that role for the upcoming season.
Beginning June 5 at 8 p.m., you can watch the debut of the first two episodes of “Phineas and Ferb” on both Disney Channel and Disney XD (Pacific Daylight Time or Eastern Daylight Time, depending on your location). The initial ten episodes of this season will become available on Disney+ in the United States and selected international regions on June 6.
