2023 saw Disney Branded Television announcing a revival for a series, spanning 40 episodes, divided into two seasons. This exciting news was shared by the duo during the “Disney Branded Television: Storytelling from Preschool to Families” panel at SCAD TVfest on Thursday.
Ayo Davis, head of Disney Branded Television, stated, “Shows like ‘Phineas and Ferb’ are rare in their ability to encapsulate pure fun and creativity. This series has been cherished by generations of kids and families, mirroring our commitment at Disney Branded Television to storytelling that spreads joy and unites people. With Dan and Swampy back in charge, the upcoming season promises even more of the thrill and emotion that made ‘Phineas and Ferb’ a treasured classic.
In October 2024, it was announced that the Phineas and Ferb revival would feature Vincent Martella reprising his role as Phineas Flynn, David Errigo Jr. as Ferb Fletcher, Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus, and Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro. Povenmire will voice Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz while Marsh voices Major Francis Monogram.
The animated show ‘Phineas and Ferb’ debuted in 2007, swiftly becoming a beloved worldwide phenomenon due to its focus on themes like friendship, adventure, and creativity, complemented by catchy melodies and witty humor. Attracting viewers of all ages, it broadcasted 126 episodes, five one-hour specials that included a musical and two films. The series concluded in 2015 following four seasons.
Based on Disney’s announcement, the upcoming season of “Phineas and Ferb” will find the ingenious stepbrothers embarking on another 104 days of summer adventures. This time around, Candace is more determined than ever to catch her brothers in their schemes, while their pet platypus, Perry, continues to balance his dual roles as both a lovable pet and the sophisticated Agent P, whose primary objective is to prevent Dr. Doofenshmirtz from gaining control over the Tri-State area.
