Persona 5: The Phantom X version 2.4 update adds Futaba Sakura as a new playable Elucidator

Sega and Atlus have released a new update for Persona 5: The Phantom X on both Japanese and international versions, bringing the game to version 2.4. The biggest addition in this update is Futaba Sakura, known as Navi in Asia and Oracle in Western regions.

Futaba quickly became a key character when the game first launched in East Asia. Despite being a support character, she significantly helps the team by making enemies much weaker to elemental attacks.

This update includes a new episode featuring Futaba as part of the ongoing crossover story, bringing together characters from P5X and the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5. The story levels will remain accessible indefinitely, but special timed missions with unique rewards will only be available for a limited period after the update launches.

Sega also announced that they’ll be bringing back Yusuke Kitagawa (Fox) and Makoto Niijima (Queen) for another chance to obtain them on November 13th. These characters, along with the others recently featured, will have a guaranteed chance to appear in their special ‘Targeted’ versions, which were first introduced in update 2.3.

Details on how to play as Futaba Sakura in Persona 5: The Phantom X are available below. Players in Southeast Asia will be able to access the same character about a week after its initial release. This free-to-play game is currently available globally on PC, iOS, and Android devices.

A new 5-star character, Futaba Sakura (known as Oracle), has joined the game! She’s a powerful support character who specializes in weakening enemies.

Futaba has the unique ability to change enemy weaknesses to match her party’s strengths. She can even amplify existing weaknesses, making attacks even more effective. Beyond this, Futaba can also apply debuffs to enemies, reducing their defenses or making them more vulnerable to damage. If Futaba is equipped with her Technomage Ultra FS weapon, she further boosts the amount of critical damage enemies receive.

Futaba is a flexible character who fits into any team. She can boost her allies’ power, weaken enemies, and even change their weaknesses, leading to significantly more damage.
