Get ready for season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians! This season, Percy and his friends embark on a perilous journey across the seas, facing frightening new enemies and unraveling ancient myths. Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri are back as the brave heroes from Camp Half-Blood, bringing the story of Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters – the second book in Rick Riordan’s popular series – to life.
I really enjoyed the second Percy Jackson movie, Sea of Monsters! It follows Percy, Annabeth, and this awesome new character – his half-brother Tyson, who’s a cyclops! They basically go rogue on a mission to rescue their friend Grover and save Camp Half-Blood. Their goal? To find the Golden Fleece, which is the only thing that can heal the camp, and they have to get it from a seriously scary, fully grown cyclops named Polyphemus. It’s a wild ride!
As a huge fan of the Percy Jackson books, I’m getting seriously excited for season 2! It’s not just Polyphemus we need to worry about – Percy and his friends are going to be facing a ton of classic monsters and dangers. I’m especially hyped about the sirens – they’re always such a compelling threat. Disney just dropped some exclusive posters showing off all the creatures they’ll be up against, and it looks like this season is going to be packed with adventure!
The new posters suggest that season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be even more epic and full of action. This time, Percy’s friends, rivals, and enemies will also be embarking on their own adventures. Unlike the books, which are told solely from Percy’s perspective and may not be entirely trustworthy, the new season will show things from multiple viewpoints.
Season 2 will reveal how Grover got captured by Polyphemus while still looking for the god Pan. We’ll also see Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn) leading a mission, approved by the gods, to find the Golden Fleece – and she’ll command a massive warship crewed by ghosts thanks to her father, Ares. Finally, the season will explore Luke (Charlie Bushnell)’s story as he betrays Camp Half-Blood.
Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will have eight episodes, and each one will be named after a funny chapter heading from Rick Riordan’s books. For example, the first episode is called “I Play Dodgeball with Cannibals,” episode four is “Clarisse Blows Up Everything,” and episode five is “We Check In to C.C.’s Spa & Resort.” The new season will also feature several new characters, in addition to Tyson, played by Diorama Diemer.
- Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus (Tamara Smart)
- Annabeth’s mother, the goddess Athena (Andra Day)
- The iconic and chaotic Gray Sisters (Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, and Margaret Cho)
Courtney B. Vance will now play Zeus, the King of Olympus, following the passing of Lance Reddick, who previously held the role.
Can Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson overcome the cyclopes, giants, and Sirens they face? Will Clarisse make it through the dangerous Bermuda Triangle? And will Luke succeed with his sneaky schemes? You’ll have to watch when Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 returns next month to find out!
The first two episodes of Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will start streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on December 10th. After that, new episodes will be released every Wednesday.
