People were lured into the grim valley from The Blood of Dawnwalker in a simple way. The valley’s treasure might be the key to their survival

For a month now, The Rebel Wolves studio has been sharing bite-sized updates, drawing us further into the universe of The Blood of Dawnwalker. This week, we were given another tidbit, revealing the name of the castle nestled in the Vale of Sangora and the major motive behind the establishment of the isolated city of Svartrau.

Upon reaching Svartrau, the capital of Vale Sangora, I stood awestruck by its grand cathedral and towering Greifberg castle perched precariously on cliffs high above. These structures seemed oddly out of context, nestled at the world’s edge, isolated from any nearby settlements. One might wonder, what drew people to establish a home here?

The solution was straightforward: silver. The neighboring mountains harbored vast quantities of it, and its frosty glimmer attracted men as if to a flame. Pitmarks dotted the rugged hillsides, signaling mine entrances, and the rhythmic clanging of pickaxes resounded throughout the valley day after day, mirroring the tapping of a captive against his cell walls…

It appears that the Greifberg Castle will play a significant role in the forthcoming RPG, as it can be spotted in the opening moments of the official game trailer, unveiled in January 2025.

One key detail from the latest article revolves around why individuals choose to reside in the capital. Primarily, they’ve established themselves there due to the abundant silver mining in the surrounding mines. It is said that this metal holds mystical powers for warding off vampires.

As of now, the developers have not specified a tentative launch date for “The Blood of Dawnwalker”. It’s scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
