Pearl Abyss shares 15-minute Features Overview video for Crimson Desert

Pearl Abyss recently released a 15-minute video giving players a look at the features of their upcoming open-world action-adventure game, Crimson Desert.

This video covers a lot about the game, including the main character, Kliff, and his allies, the Greymanes. It also explores the game’s world, Pywel, introduces two other characters you can play as, details the different factions, shows off the exploration aspects, and even features a mech that launches missiles – and much more!

Crimson Desert is set to release on March 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

Pearl Abyss has shared a new video showcasing Crimson Desert, giving players a detailed look at the game’s main character, its large open world, and key gameplay features.

This video explains the story and what drives Kliff, the main character, and introduces Pywel, the vast, open-world setting where the game takes place. Pywel is a diverse land filled with wild landscapes, lively cities, and mysterious ruins, all threatened by growing conflict and supernatural forces.

In Crimson Desert, you play as Kliff, a warrior from the Greymanes – a peaceful and united group from the northern land of Pailune. The game starts after their homeland is destroyed, and Kliff must rebuild the Greymanes and take back what was lost. As the story unfolds, players learn that the future of the entire continent hangs in the balance.

A major danger arises from the Abyss, a strange and unstable place. Pieces of the Abyss are falling into the world of Pywel, and some people are trying to use these fragments for their own gain, threatening to create chaos. The story focuses on fixing the problems within the Abyss and stopping those who want to misuse its power.

I’m so excited about Crimson Desert! The new featurette really showed off how open the world is. It’s split into five huge regions – Hernand, Pailune, Demeniss, Delesyia, and of course, the Crimson Desert itself – and each one feels totally unique with its own stories and things to do. You follow Kliff’s main story, but it looks like you can really go anywhere and do anything you want. They’re promising tons of different quests, from joining factions and fighting in big battles, to taking part in fortress sieges and even just focusing on smaller, more personal stories. It’s shaping up to be an incredible experience!

As you play, two more characters become available to control alongside Kliff. Each one has their own special way of fighting, with different skills and weapons, offering a fresh experience when exploring and battling.

Players can explore the world of Pywel in many ways, starting with horseback riding, climbing, and gliding. Later, they’ll unlock even more advanced options like a mech with missiles and the ability to ride a dragon. The world is packed with secrets, old puzzles, and interesting places to find, encouraging players to investigate and discover everything it has to offer.

Players will face a variety of enemies in battles, including soldiers, magic users, dangerous creatures, and mechanical opponents. These fights will challenge their ability to adapt and their combat skills. They can find powerful items and gear by completing quests, winning battles, or exploring the world. Learning about the world and its people will also help players find clues, get advice, and even unlock new abilities.
