Reaching the top of the mountain in Peak feels great. But falling, taking poison, or simply running out of energy and failing quickly? That’s frustrating. Luckily, Peak’s latest update, The Roots, introduces Checkpoint Flags to help make the climb a bit more forgiving.
The Checkpoint Flag is a new item that lets you create a save point anywhere on the mountain. If you fall in battle, you’ll reappear near the flag with some health restored, giving those delicate scouts a second chance.

The latest update to The Roots introduces new badges and items, giving experienced players fresh challenges and tools to overcome them. These new items, like the Checkpoint Flag and Rescue Claw, make tough obstacles much easier to handle. The Rescue Claw, which functions like a grappling hook, lets you quickly swing across gaps and caverns.
The Roots area is particularly challenging. Strong winds, unexpected spiders, poisonous gas, and other dangers could make it impossible to escape the forest. We’ll leave some of the surprises for you to find if you haven’t explored it yet.
Exploring The Roots will reveal new items, gameplay features, and creatures. When you discover the Checkpoint Flag in this new area, set it down right away! This will let you explore more confidently, knowing you can respawn there if you happen to fall in battle.
