Aggro Crab, the team behind Peak and Another Crab’s Treasure, has released a demo for their new game, Crashout Crew, on Steam. It’s a fast-paced, cooperative game for up to four players where you drive forklifts in a warehouse. Players need to fulfill orders quickly while dealing with all sorts of crazy events – like power outages, escaped chickens, and even meteor strikes! If your forklift takes too much damage, you’re out of the game.
Peak developers have a demo for their new game available for free on Steam this week
Aggro Crab recently talked about experiencing burnout and how they’ve changed the way they make games over the past year. Their game, *Peak*, was a huge hit, selling much better than any of their previous titles and becoming one of the most popular indie games of 2025. However, *Peak* was developed much faster – in just a few months – compared to their usual development process which typically takes years. Interestingly, Landfall Interactive, who co-developed *Peak*, isn’t involved with their new game, *Crashout Crew*.
It’s Steam Next Fest this week, and tons of free game demos are available! We’ve compiled a list of great ones, and you should definitely check out *Crashout Crew*. Knowing how *Peak* usually develops games – they typically showcase them close to release – *Crashout Crew*’s presence at Next Fest suggests it might be launching sooner than you think, especially since it was only announced a little over a week ago.
It’s hard to say if *Crashout Crew* will be as successful as *Peak*, which was a groundbreaking game for this independent studio. While the new game shares the same fast-paced, cooperative gameplay, it’s too early to tell if it offers the same level of complexity. *Peak* stood out because it combined chaos with a compelling adventure, clear objectives, and interesting environments to explore. It remains to be seen whether *Crashout Crew* will provide a similar level of long-term enjoyment and strategic depth, or if it will be more of a simple, fun party game.
