Okay, so I just finished watching ‘Paradise‘, and it’s a really thought-provoking show. The first season was all about figuring out who committed a murder – a classic whodunnit, and they actually revealed the killer! But Season 2 is different. It’s more like a bunch of smaller mysteries popping up, and it looks like they’re all going to tie together with a big reveal in the finale. It’s keeping me hooked!
The first season of Paradise followed Secret Service agent Xavier Collins as he investigated the murder of his friend and the US President. It also revealed a shocking truth: Earth was in ruins, and humanity was surviving in an underground bunker.
Season 2 started with a surprising twist: a brand new character, Annie, took center stage in the first episode. The show then shifted back to Xavier in episode two, and finally returned to the main setting, the bunker, in episode three.
As the story unfolds, we learn more about what Link and his companions are searching for, and the reason behind the characters’ nosebleeds. Most importantly, the central question posed in the first three episodes will finally be resolved.
We’ll find out who Alex is by the end of Paradise Season 2

The first episode of Paradise Season 2 focuses on Annie’s experiences in Graceland, where she develops feelings for a charming man named Link. Despite her attraction, Annie ultimately chooses not to leave with him, and a heartbreaking scene shows her rejecting his pleas while alone and upset.
During this scene, Annie unexpectedly hears Gieger tell Link they’re going to the bunker to murder someone named Alex. This motivates Link to act, but it’s confusing for both Annie and the audience, as we have no idea who Alex is.
But the mystery won’t last much longer. John Hoberg, an executive producer and writer for Paradise, has promised to reveal Alex’s identity. “I want viewers to be desperate to know who Alex is,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
The core of this show is providing answers to the questions it raises. That was a key idea for creator Dan Fogelman from the start. We don’t just introduce mysteries; we resolve them, and often, new questions arise as a result. So, if you’re curious about characters like Alex, you will learn their stories.
What to expect from Season 3

From the start, Paradise was always planned as a three-season story, and it’s likely to stay that way. According to creator Rick Hoberg, the ending is definitive, making a fourth season impractical.
Regarding Season 3, Hoberg explained that they always planned for the story to move beyond the bunker, as seen in Season 2 with Xavier’s search for his wife. The new season will ultimately bring together two distinct worlds, leading to a major confrontation.
The story is establishing parallel events happening in two separate locations. As a viewer, I think you’d naturally start to question if those storylines will eventually connect.
