Palworld 1.0 Coming In 2026 With A “Massive Amount Of Content,” As Dev Teases New Games

Pocketpair, the creators of Palworld, have announced that the full, official version of the game (version 1.0) will be released in 2026, marking the end of its early access period. While the main development team focuses on improving Palworld with updates and new content, Pocketpair also has smaller teams starting work on completely new games.

The developers of Palworld acknowledge the game still has some rough edges and bugs. They plan to focus on fixing these issues – not just adding new features – before officially launching the game beyond early access. Pocketpair plans to share less information for the rest of 2025 while they work on these improvements. They also want fans to know that the update planned for Winter 2025 won’t be as large or comprehensive as the one released in December 2024, called Feybreak.

Palworld 1.0

Pocketpair has announced that the initial release of Palworld (version 1.0) will include a huge amount of content, and they need more time to prepare everything for players.

The developer explained they’re taking their time to build a strong base for the game, believing this will result in a higher quality final product. They also promised to share some early looks at the content planned for the 1.0 release in the near future.

According to the Palworld FAQ on Steam, the game’s price could go up before the official version 1.0 is released. Currently, Palworld is on sale for $22.50, reduced from its regular price of $30, but this offer ends on September 22nd.

Palworld history

Palworld came out in January 2024 for Xbox and PC and quickly became very popular, boosted by its availability on Xbox Game Pass. While the game rapidly gained millions of players, its launch wasn’t without issues. Many people noticed similarities between Palworld and Pokemon, leading The Pokemon Company and Nintendo to sue the game’s developer, Pocketpair. Surprisingly, the lawsuit isn’t about copyright, but rather claims of patent infringement.

After facing a lawsuit, Pocketpair made several updates to Palworld, including removing Pal Spheres – items used to capture creatures that resembled Poke Balls – and taking away the ability to glide using a Pal. John Buckley, the community manager, stated that the day they were sued was a difficult one for the team.

Palworld became available on PlayStation 5 in September 2024, and a version for Mac computers followed in March 2025. Pocketpair also collaborated with Sony to create Palworld merchandise.
