Last night’s show didn’t quite hit its stride, and that might be because it started off feeling flat. The opening sketch was based on the New York City mayoral debate, which everyone had already discussed extensively online for over a week. It didn’t offer any new insights, and while Teller did a good impression of Andrew Cuomo (this was the third time a host appeared in the opening sketch this season), the other candidates were played by guest actors instead of regular cast members.

The Saturday Night Live portrayals of the mayoral candidates were more honest than the candidates themselves. The sketch featuring Andrew Cuomo (played by Sarah Teller) had him confess to inappropriate touching, while the sketch of Maya Wiley (played by Sam Morril) showed her acknowledging potential opposition to her plans for New York City. However, Pete Davidson’s portrayal of Curtis Sliwa was just as evasive as the real Sliwa. The show was then interrupted by Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) boasting about his MRI results and jokingly suggesting he might run for mayor or star in a musical.

In August 2024, George Santos admitted to wire fraud and stealing identities, leading to an 87-month prison sentence. However, President Trump shortened his sentence on October 17th, after Santos had served about 80 days. Immediately after his release, Santos resumed making appearances on Cameo. Jimmy Kimmel now has the opportunity to do something ill-advised, but legally permissible.

The eight-part historical series, King & Conqueror, takes place in 11th-century England and tells the story of the events before the Norman Conquest. It focuses on Harold Godwinson and William of Normandy, who were once allies but became rivals after the death of King Edward left the throne open. The series dramatizes the growing tension between these two powerful men, the resulting invasion, and how it changed England forever.

Even though Superman came out in theaters almost five months ago, director James Gunn is still sharing behind-the-scenes content. He recently posted a new CGI test clip of Krypto the Superdog on X (formerly Twitter). You can see it below!

The new music biopic got me wondering what other legendary albums deserve their own movie. So many classic records have incredible stories behind them, and with the success of Deliver Me From Nowhere, I think it’s a great time to tell those stories. Here are six albums I’d love to see adapted for the big screen…

So, I was chatting at SpaceCon recently, and I was telling everyone about filming the Flash finale. It was a bit of a scramble, honestly. We actually had to completely rework the original plan for the episode because I got sick right before we started shooting. It threw everything off, but we managed to pull it together!

While Stranger Things is excellent, many teen dramas and comedies really focus on the challenges and experiences of being a teenager. From British shows that paved the way for tackling serious topics to animated series celebrating individuality, these programs are truly impactful.
