Ben Affleck and Bruce Willis led an all-star cast in the 1998 blockbuster Armageddon, a thrilling sci-fi film directed by Michael Bay. While the movie is known for its explosive action, many viewers fondly remember the touching scenes between Affleck and Willis near the end, which often bring them to tears. Interestingly, Affleck recently revealed to Jake Hamilton that filming that emotional scene wasn’t easy for him – he had food poisoning at the time.

Television has been a key part of the Transformers story since the beginning. It’s helped sell toys, expanded the universe, introduced the brand to international audiences, and allowed for creative new designs. This has led to many different TV series since 1984, and keeping track of them all can be confusing – some shows were only on for a short time, while others were part of bigger connected storylines.

Karim Diané stars as Jay-Den Kraag, the first Klingon main character in a Star Trek series since Michael Dorn’s portrayal of Worf in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and season 3 of Star Trek: Picard. Notably, Jay-Den is an unusual Klingon – he’s attending Starfleet Academy to become a doctor.

The darkness within Jax wasn’t a late-season development; he was born with a capacity for it and quickly discovered his talent for it. We first see hints of how far he’d go for those he loves in Season 1, when something precious to him was at risk. The eighth episode of the first season, “The Pull,” is a particularly well-written example of how destructive love can be.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Sunrise is commemorating the 1977 premiere of Invincible Super Man Zambot 3, the first original series it ever produced. A new logo, created by Uesugi and featuring the classic Sunrise style with the number 50, has been revealed. In addition, a teaser image by graphic designer Kosuke Kawamura and a special catchphrase – “Jump, Fly, Soar! Creating for Another 50 Years” – penned by Ryosuke Takahashi (director of Armored Trooper Votoms) have also been released.

Besides Beast, the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday will feature at least five familiar mutants from the X-Men films: Cyclops, Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, and Nightcrawler. Although we likely won’t see him again until the movie comes out later this year, there’s a possibility he could appear sooner in Wonder Man.

James Gunn has dismissed recent casting rumors surrounding Batman and Wonder Woman in the upcoming film, Man of Tomorrow. He responded to a fan on Threads (via Home of DCU on X) stating that reports of auditions for these characters are untrue. When asked specifically about Wonder Woman being the female character being cast, Gunn confirmed that wasn’t the case, suggesting that online speculation was simply guesswork.

The final season of Stranger Things had a lot to live up to, but its action-packed conclusion proved divisive. The season heavily prioritized action, turning the battle against Vecna into a large-scale sci-fi spectacle reminiscent of movies like Constantine or Independence Day – a significant shift from the show’s earlier, more character-driven seasons. Some viewers felt there was either too much action or that it didn’t quite hit the mark, but overall, the ending could have been much worse.
