Janelle Monáe made the costume even more impressive by staying in character – as the mischievous feline god – throughout the entire interview. She greeted everyone with a playful, over-the-top voice, somewhere between Amy Sedaris and Barney, saying, “Hello, children! Hello, grown folk! I love you!” When the interviewer tried to ask about the costume, Monáe playfully insisted she was simply being herself. Even when presented with photos of her dressed as E.T. from the previous year (which she admitted was even more frightening), Monáe, still in character as the cat, explained in a singsong voice that she could only appear on the show if Janelle Monáe allowed her to use her body.

Russia has blocked access to the popular anime and manga database MyAnimeList, starting October 22, 2025. The country’s media regulator, Roskomnadzor, claims the site contains “extremist” LGBTQ+ content and promotes “non-traditional sexual relations.” Russian users now see an error message when trying to visit the site, which has about 20 million users worldwide. However, officials have indicated the ban could be lifted if MyAnimeList, a Tokyo-based company, removes the objectionable content.

Ever since Robert Downey Jr. was revealed to be playing Doctor Doom, fans have been getting glimpses of his costume. But a newly released, high-definition image of the suit, shared online by Avengers Updates, is the clearest look yet at the villain in the upcoming Avengers 5.

At a recent event at the Julliard School celebrating the life and work of John Williams, the school’s president, Damian Woetzel, shared that Williams is currently collaborating with Steven Spielberg in Los Angeles on an upcoming film. The story started when Frankie Muniz appeared on Hilary Duff’s Disney Channel show in 2002. While on set, he mentioned to Duff’s mom that he was filming a movie where he played a character similar to a young James Bond. Duff’s mom then convinced Hilary to play Natalie Connors in the film – Muniz had actually hoped Kristin Kreuk from Smallville would get the part. Muniz admitted he wasn’t entirely happy with the decision, but clarified it wasn’t because he didn’t want Hilary involved, though he felt he’d already revealed too much about the situation.

I suspect he realized that himself, maybe even from the beginning, despite trying to convince himself he could lead a team of spies like a simple summer program. He became head of MI5 because those who appointed him wanted someone predictable, someone who wouldn’t take risks. He lacked cunning and mistakenly thought he was brilliant, a dangerous combination in the world of espionage. Now he’s likely gone, forced to resign after pushing his luck too far. Though he was a poor leader who hindered crucial intelligence gathering and nearly caused a catastrophe with his delusions of grandeur, it was certainly entertaining to watch him struggle.
