The original *Five Nights at Freddy’s* film featured Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, a man who takes a job as a nighttime security guard at a rundown pizza restaurant to provide for himself and his sister. Things quickly go wrong for Mike, as the restaurant is haunted by animatronic characters possessed by the spirits of children murdered by the serial killer William Afton. The first movie left the door open for a continuation, and with the *FNaF* game series being so extensive, the announcement of a sequel wasn’t a surprise.
The second season of *Peacemaker* ended with a major cliffhanger for Chris, as his friends create Checkmate, a team inspired by the DC Comics group. However, Chris is unexpectedly sent to a secret prison planet by Rick Flagg Sr. While many assumed this meant a third season was needed to wrap up the story, James Gunn says that’s not necessarily the case. He told Deadline that while he wouldn’t rule out a future season entirely, a third season isn’t currently planned. Instead, the finale seems to be setting the stage for *Man of Tomorrow* and potentially a spin-off series focused on Checkmate.

But the Krakoan era felt different; it really tried to build something totally new that could become legendary for years to come. Now that it’s finished, it’s a perfect moment to think about why it was so special and, honestly, what feels *missing* from the X-Men now that Krakoa is no longer part of the story.
The upcoming series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, will focus on the stories of two main characters: Duncan the Tall and King Aegon V Targaryen, nicknamed Egg. Set about 100 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the show falls chronologically between that series and House of the Dragon, allowing viewers to see the lineage of characters they already know.
