The Silver Surfer seemingly died in the final issue of the comic series Death of the Silver Surfer #5, created by Greg Pak, Sumit Kumar, and Tiago Palma. The story focused on Dennis Harmon, a wealthy tech entrepreneur, and his descent into madness. Harmon used his vast fortune to buy B.A.N., the government agency responsible for dealing with aliens.
