Comic book creator Rob Liefeld pointed this out in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting it’s one reason Marvel is relying more on familiar faces. Liefeld noted that Jacob Elordi specifically turned down the role of Superman, sharing a quote from a GQ interview as evidence. He believes this trend is a real issue for casting new male leads in these films.
