White House Tax Tantrums: Crypto, Cash and Guffaws Galore!

Yesterday forth, the administration took to the electrifying medium of X, where it joined the mad line of Republican orators-Rep. Mike Simpson of Idaho, Rep. Jack Bergman of Michigan, Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, and a handful of others-who bellowed the virtues of the tax cuts in a chorus of right‑wing rhapsodies. They spoke of families finding relief, disposable income swelling like a Pygmalion soupstock, and a host of tax holidays (tips, overtime, Social Security) to keep the merry‑mash of the economy humming.

Acting Oscars Are Still Up In the Air After BAFTA Upsets

The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) were presented on Sunday, and the acting winners weren’t who many predicted. Jessie Buckley is still the favorite to win Best Actress for Hamnet, but the other acting categories saw some surprises. Sean Penn won Best Supporting Actor for his role in One Battle After Another, despite Jacob Elordi and Stellan Skarsgard winning other pre-BAFTA awards. Wunmi Mosaku from Sinners took home Best Supporting Actress, following wins by Amy Madigan and Teyana Taylor. The biggest surprise of the night was Robert Aramayo winning Best Actor for the British independent film I Swear, which isn’t released in the US until April. This win throws the Oscar race for Best Actor into question, as Timothée Chalamet, who was the front-runner, didn’t win at the BAFTAs.

Hold On Tight! The XRP Ledger Amendment That’ll Have You Questioning Reality

Created by Denis Angell, the software whiz at XRPL Labs, this amendment promises to make the lives of developers so much easier-almost like magic, if you’re into that sort of thing. According to reports, it’s going to allow developers to rake in some sweet on-chain revenue without breaking a sweat. It’ll also give them a helping hand in offering paid features and-wait for it-automating transaction flows. Because, of course, what we all need is more automation in our lives.

Pixar’s 3 New Award Wins Are Your Reminder To Watch Their Best Original In Years On Disney+

However, it’s worth noting that while Elio is getting a lot of attention, the studio took a risk on an original project last year as well. Win or Lose, an eight-episode series that premiered on Disney+ in February, was Pixar’s first original TV show. Many consider it one of their best works of the 2020s, and it recently received recognition, winning three Annie Awards on February 21st – including Best Limited Series.

20 Essential Criterion Discs Every Film Lover Should Own

Here are 20 currently available Criterion films that I recommend for any serious physical media collector. This isn’t an exhaustive list – there are many other excellent Criterion releases, like A Matter of Life and Death, Rashomon, Sweet Smell of Success, Easy Rider, and the 4K version of This Is Spinal Tap, that I couldn’t include. However, it’s a fantastic starting point, and I’ve included links to purchase all 20 in the ScreenCrush store to make things easy for you.
