California passed Prop 50, New York City elected Zohran Mamdani, and unbelievably, the Virginia Democrat involved in that texting scandal won anyway. It was a truly surprising night. I even saw Jimmy Fallon celebrating, calling it a major blow to Trump. It’s funny, because he recently said he didn’t want to get too political on The Tonight Show, and he got a lot of flak for that from viewers who like more pointed commentary. But honestly, as a regular watcher of his monologue, he is still doing plenty of political bits. It’s not the whole show, sure, but he’s pretty scathing about Trump – calling him a dictator and everything. He’s actually sharper than people realize, and maybe even sharper than he thinks!
