While Bill Skarsgård reprises his role as Pennywise the Clown, the first season (or at least the initial five episodes shown to reviewers) doesn’t offer many outright scares. However, the prequel does succeed in enriching the town’s backstory and the mythology surrounding Pennywise.

According to Circana’s Mat Piscatella, Borderlands 4 was the best-selling game on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the US for September 2025. It also performed well on PlayStation, landing at number three. While exact sales figures weren’t released, Piscatella reported that Borderlands 4 had the biggest launch month sales of any game in the series, surpassing the previous record (Borderlands 3) by almost 30%.
