The movie The Hustle, starring Anne Hathaway, is proving popular on Netflix. For the week of December 8th to 14th, 2025, it ranked as the seventh most-watched movie globally on the streaming service.

A recent report from Bloomberg indicates Warner Bros. Discovery is likely to pass on a potential deal with Paramount, citing concerns about financing and the conditions of the offer. Sources close to the situation told Bloomberg that the company’s board reviewed the Paramount proposal but currently favors an offer from Netflix.

Just like the Marvel movies, the DC Universe started by introducing its main heroes in individual films, including the 2017 Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot. Jan Fuchs, a writer who recently worked on IT: Welcome to Derry, co-wrote Wonder Woman with Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg. He recently shared that the film originally planned to introduce Kalibak, the son of the villain Darkseid, though the main antagonist ultimately became Ares, played by David Thewlis.

Over the past few years, action movies have become much more graphic, as both viewers and filmmakers have become more comfortable with on-screen violence. These films often aim for a realistic portrayal of conflict. However, the high level of violence usually earns them an R-rating, which means younger fans of the genre can’t see them.
