Dana Walden, recently appointed co-chair of Disney Entertainment to oversee both streaming and traditional TV, unexpectedly changed course. Her predecessors had planned to move DWTS exclusively to the Disney+ streaming service, but Walden brought it back to ABC.

Cowboy Bebop Sets Release Date for Special U.S. Big-Screen Return Coming Soon

The Japan Society has announced that acclaimed anime director Shinichiro Watanabe – known for hits like Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo – will be the main guest at Foreign Exchange 2025, a series of discussions with leading anime creators. From November 17th to 22nd in New York City, Watanabe will join Justin Leach (producer of Star Wars: Visions) and host LeSean Thomas to talk about the current anime landscape and how artists in the U.S. and Japan work together. The event will include talks at universities and other locations, as well as public showings of Cowboy Bebop: The Movie and Watanabe’s newest series, Lazarus.
