I first became a fan of Quentin Tarantino with the Kill Bill movies, which came out in 2003 and 2004. As a kid, I watched those films on DVD constantly and can still recite almost the entire first volume, including all of Tarantino’s nods to other movies and TV shows. Even so, committing more than four hours to watch both Kill Bill films back-to-back feels like a big undertaking, even for a dedicated fan like me.

I’m completely hooked by the concept for Lanterns. Imagine if DC created a season of True Detective, but with Hal Jordan (played by Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) from the Green Lantern Corps as the lead detectives. Sign me up!

This initially suggests the introduction of Superman’s famous enemy, Brainiac. While Brainiac is rumored to be the villain in the upcoming Man of Tomorrow movie – which is slated for release a year after Supergirl – the Supergirl trailer doesn’t actually hint at Brainiac’s appearance. Instead, it focuses on a tragic event for Kryptonians, taken from the original DC Comics, and a significant scene from the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic book by Tom King, Bilquis Evely, and Matheus Lopes.

Sigourney Weaver hasn’t portrayed Ripley in nearly three decades, but the character remains a favorite from her extensive acting career. During a recent appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival, as part of a conversation event, the 76-year-old actress discussed Ripley and how she first gained recognition through the role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Weaver explained that Ripley’s status as a feminist icon wasn’t initially planned by the writers, and she shared her thoughts on why the character has become such a significant and influential female figure in modern culture.

As the film Tommy celebrates its fiftieth anniversary, it’s starting to seem less like a quirky classic and more like an early example of how popular franchises develop today.

The movie mainly focuses on Ella, a 34-year-old lieutenant governor played by Emma Mackey, but gets bogged down in a lengthy side story about her brother, Casey (Spike Fearn). Casey is a brilliant MIT graduate who has been a recluse for over a year after his girlfriend, Susan, didn’t immediately agree to become exclusive with him – so he blocked her. He essentially ghosted her. When Ella points this out, Casey decides to win Susan back, embarking on a long walk across town to prove he’s not afraid to leave the house. Amazingly, Susan (played by Ayo Edebiri in a brief scene) not only lets this disheveled, intense man into her apartment after a year of no contact, but tries to have a normal conversation with him as if nothing happened. Just when it felt like the situation might turn dangerous, Casey asks Susan to be his girlfriend again, and she… says yes! (Spoiler alert!)

Okay, so The Flip Off really took off when it first aired in early 2025, and everyone’s been dying to know what’s happening with Season 2. They started filming way back in September, and the cast – Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa, plus Christina Haack – have been hinting at a possible new partner for Christina on the show. But honestly, Tarek’s been pretty candid on Instagram about how challenging it can be working with both Christina and Heather. Let’s just say things aren’t always smooth sailing!
