Val Kilmer’s portrayal of Doc Holliday was Oscar-worthy, showcasing both comedic timing and genuine emotion. Although Dances with Wolves briefly brought Westerns back into popularity in the 90s, Kilmer, a self-proclaimed fan of the genre, didn’t get many more opportunities to star in Western films.

The first Transformers movie, directed by Michael Bay, premiered in 2007 and brought the popular robots to life with impressive special effects. Despite negative reviews, the film—starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox—was a huge financial success, earning $708 million on a $151 million budget. This launched a series of profitable sequels – Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, and Age of Extinction – which brought in billions of dollars and allowed Bay to continue the franchise with The Last Knight. However, that’s where the series began to struggle.

If you’ve been watching the recent guest hosts on Season 51, you probably already know the rumors about cast changes were overblown. Kenan Thompson, Michael Che, and Colin Jost are all returning for the 2025 season, even with their other projects – like Jordan Peele promoting his role in the upcoming movie Wicked: For Good. It’s common for the show’s long-time comedians to discuss leaving, and both Che and Jost have hinted at potential departures in the past.

As a huge fan of Stranger Things, I have to admit I’m really worried about Joyce Byers in the latest season. Even though it looks like she might be safe, the show loves to play with our expectations. Remember when everyone thought Eleven died at the end of season one? It turned out to be a clever trick, and I have a feeling the writers might be planning something similar again. I just hope Joyce makes it through okay!

After nearly thirty years on air, Law & Order: SVU is now the longest-running scripted primetime series. It remains a key part of NBC’s plans for the 2025-2026 television season. Following the surprising death of Captain Cragen at the start of season 27, Olivia Benson is the last original cast member, and the show has chronicled her development as a person and a professional over the years. Now the Captain of the Manhattan Special Victims Unit, she’s still deeply dedicated to her work.

Batman has been reimagined in many ways, from audio dramas like Batman Unburied to funny animated series such as Bat-Fam, and even the live-action show Gotham, which explores Bruce Wayne’s early life. However, one Batman story stands out as particularly noteworthy for fans.

Although Disney+ has three new Star Wars shows planned for 2026, next year will be the first since 2021 without a completely new, live-action Star Wars series – meaning no shows that are simply continuing existing storylines.
