Pabst Blue Ribbon and Godzilla have teamed up to create a massive 99-pack of beer, perfect for fans of both beer and giant monsters!
Godzilla reigns supreme as the King of the Monsters, and Pabst Brewing Company is aiming to become known as the ‘King of Beer’.
On January 15th, the beer company launched a special 99-pack in collaboration with Godzilla. Each can showcases unique artwork of iconic monsters from Toho, like Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Mechagodzilla.
Pabst Blue Ribbon doesn’t typically invest heavily in expensive Super Bowl commercials,” explained Rachel Keeton, the company’s Senior Brand Director.
I’m so excited! Instead of just waiting for things to calm down, we’re bringing the fun to all the tailgates and watch parties with the new Godzilla 99-pack. It’s going to be HUGE – a real crowd-pleaser!
With the Super Bowl coming up in February, this partnership is a great opportunity for football fans to stock up on beer for the NFL playoffs and the big game itself.

Godzilla and Pabst go big with a 99-pack of beer
So, the artwork on these cans was done by ATTACK Peter – he’s a really cool artist I knew from previous collaborations between these brands. Apparently, his monster designs have already been on over 60 million PBR cans, which is pretty awesome!
The artist was surprised to learn about the 99-pack, and his initial reaction was simply, “A WHAT pack?”
I was really impressed with the 99-pack and predicted it would be a big hit, so I included artwork of Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla in dynamic poses. Also, don’t overlook the Mothra larva on the package – it’s known for going head-to-head with the most powerful monsters.
The only downside is that Pabst is making a limited run of just 4,000 of these 99-packs. If you spot one in a store, grab it quickly – you might not see another! And make sure you have a big enough vehicle, because these packs are huge.

Pictures are circulating of 99-packs of beer available in stores for $99.99, which works out to about a dollar per beer – a pretty good price, actually.
You can have fun with these in lots of ways, even by playing a silly game like “99 bottles of beer on the wall,” but using cans instead!
