Overwatch is planning to add a lot of new heroes in the next year, and players think they’ve figured out who one of them will be.
The Overwatch team announced five new playable characters coming to the game with the launch of Season 1 on February 10th. These new heroes are Domina, Emre, Mizuki, Anran, and the uniquely named Jetpack Cat.
Blizzard also hinted that ten heroes will be added to the game by 2026. While the identities of five of these new characters weren’t officially revealed, the livestream included several hints about who they might be.
Now, fans think they’ve worked out exactly who one of the missing heroes is going to be — D.Mon.
OW players convinced D.Mon is coming in Season 4
D.Mon was introduced in the 2018 animated short, ‘Shooting Star,’ which tells the story of D.Va’s past. Like D.Va, she’s a member of the Korean Army’s Mobile Exo-Force (MEKA) and fights in her own mech, called Beast.
During the Spotlight stream, viewers noticed a character in the background operating a mech that looked a lot like D.Mon.
Fans spotted some exciting sneak peeks during the recent livestream! It looks like we’re getting a glimpse of future character skins and confirmation that D.Mon will be joining the hero roster soon. Can you see any of the details in the preview?

More clues about this weapon appear in the official plans for 2026. The outline of the hero coming in Season 4 seems to show them wielding the same energy sword. A Reddit user named ‘rockoburger’ recently posted a detailed comparison of the evidence.

Blizzard hasn’t officially said if the new hero is D.Mon, but it would fit with their current approach to Overwatch. Three of the five revealed heroes – Emre, Anran, and Domina – come directly from the game’s existing story and have previously appeared in cinematic trailers.
It appears Blizzard is expanding its game world by bringing back familiar characters and introducing brand new ones.
We expect to share more details before Season 4 launches around the end of summer 2026. In the meantime, there’s still lots to enjoy, like the upcoming Hello Kitty event!
