Starting today, December 17th, Overwatch 2 is launching its Winter Wonderland update as announced by Blizzard. This update includes the return of festive playlists, as well as introducing six-versus-six battle modes.

At The Arcade, competitors can engage in thrilling winter duels with three distinct snowy battles, including Mei’s Snowball Fray. During 5v5 elimination and free-for-all bouts, snowballs will persistently whiz across the screen. In Overwatch 2, Freeze Flash Elimination is a modified form of freeze tag. If a player gets frozen in this game, they can re-enter the battle only when their fellow teammates successfully defrost or “thaw” them.

The trial for Overwatch 2’s 6v6 gameplay, specifically on the King’s Row map, has commenced. This trial is set up in a role queue system, with a 2-2-2 setup, which means each team must have an equal distribution of tank, damage, and support characters. The experiment will continue until January 6th.
