Overwatch 2 Loot Boxes Make Epic Comeback in Season 15 – Players Rejoice!

As a gamer, I’m thrilled to announce that after their absence in 2022, loot boxes are officially returning to Overwatch with the Season 15 update. I can hardly wait to dive back into the game and start unboxing those rewards!

In online games that continue to operate, loot boxes are frequently a topic of debate. Although they usually contain attractive items, games such as FIFA 25 by EA and notably, the initial release of Battlefront 2, have faced criticism for being excessively dependent on them.

In contrast to many other games, Overwatch’s loot boxes were often appreciated by its player base, as they could be obtained without purchase through gameplay, and they offered high-quality character skins that the players favored.

With the debut of Overwatch 2 in 2022, when Blizzard transitioned from loot boxes to a Battle Pass model, some players felt let down. However, excitingly, the much-anticipated return of loot boxes is on the horizon.

Additionally, it has been made clear that the drop rates for each type of reward will be transparent, giving you an insight into the likelihood of different prizes before you decide to open them.

In addition to purchasing them with actual currency, you’ll have multiple opportunities to acquire them at no cost. Moving forward, these items will be distributed as part of weekly incentives and incorporated into the Battle Pass for every season – beginning with Season 15.

There are some options that won’t cost you a dime, giving you a chance to dive in without breaking the bank.

In simpler terms, this change implies that more characters will have available skins compared to what’s currently offered in the Battle Pass. This has been a recurring issue since Overwatch 2 debuted, as players who primarily use characters without Battle Pass skins must either wait for future Battle Pass updates, spend free currency to unlock older skins, or buy skins directly from the store.

Loot boxes have come back, giving you an opportunity to potentially acquire sparkling new costumes for your preferred character.
