The team behind Battlefield 6 has announced improvements to the game based on player feedback from the August beta tests. They also hinted that big additions, like naval combat, could be coming in future updates.
Changes in the launch version
A recent developer update shared some interesting stats about player choices, weapons, playtime, and more. They emphasized that *Battlefield 6* has undergone more testing and refinement than any previous game in the *Battlefield* series. During the open beta, players collectively spent over 92 million hours playing!
This update includes more than 200 improvements, mainly fixing bugs, refining gameplay balance, and generally making the experience smoother. Here are the highlights:
- Greater movement responsiveness;
- modified recoil for automatic weapons;
- several gadgets have been fixed;
- better user interface and HUD;
- improved network code.
New features on the horizon
The most exciting news came in the section about what’s coming next. While we know *Battlefield 6* will have a lot of free content when its first season launches, the developers are also working on even more for the future.
We’ve also received requests for features related to naval combat, including popular demand for the little helicopter, additional troops, and other units.
Even though the text focuses on sea battles, mentioning them at all hints that they could be added to the game later on. The developers seem to be demonstrating they’re paying attention to player feedback and thinking about requested features.

Some players are already playing *Battlefield 6* after receiving early copies from stores. One player, grecea_vlad, shared on Reddit that the game servers are live and they’ve started playing the campaign. It’s likely EA enabled the servers for reviewers to test the finished game.
