Ormond Lake Mine Lands in Dead by Daylight PTB, But Won't Be In This Chapter's Full Release

As a dedicated fan of Dead by Daylight, I must say, the new Ormond Lake Mine map has me positively giddy! With my years of experience playing this game, I can tell you that this fresh addition to the franchise is nothing short of exhilarating. The snow-covered landscape and metal structures are a visual delight, and the vertical and horizontal play options in chases make for an exciting new twist on the usual cat-and-mouse gameplay.

In the upcoming days, the area of Dead by Daylight’s Ormond realm is set to expand with a fresh map titled the Ormond Lake Mine. Currently, in the Public Test Build (PTB), gamers can traverse this new extension of the existing Ormond Resort map. However, don’t anticipate seeing it in the complete Chapter release right away—for now, it’s accessible only on the PTB, providing a sneak peek before its official launch, which is expected later in January.

NEW MAP: Ormond Lake Mine

This will not be in the full Chapter release, only in PTB.

With the Houndmaster PTB now active, players are able to explore the Lake Mines themselves. This fresh map is blanketed in snow, similar to Ormond Resort, and boasts numerous metallic constructions scattered across it. It’s an eye-catching map, particularly with its towering central structure. Additionally, players can descend into a subterranean area, offering opportunities for both vertical and horizontal gameplay during chases.

User dvveet on X/Twitter mentioned that the Ormond Lake Mine had been alluded to more than a year prior in Legion comics, suggesting it as a location associated with enigmatic cult practices.

A year ago in the Legion comics, Ormond Lake Mine was subtly hinted at! Likewise, Taurie and her cult were alluded to in a vague manner.
