Loric Games and Snail Games USA have released Echoes of Elysium, their new airborne open-world survival RPG, into Early Access on Steam. The game costs $19.99 (or £16.75 / €19.50) and is currently 10% off for the first week. A new trailer shows off the game’s unique airship building system – players can create and customize their own flying vessels to explore the floating islands of Elysium. The trailer also demonstrates the game’s crafting, resource gathering, and both aerial and ground combat, while hinting at the story behind the world.
Echoes of Elysium is now available in Early Access, letting players explore the first area and try out the game’s main crafting and survival features. You can play alone or with up to five friends, complete quests, and even battle a final boss. Players will be able to create Tier 2 weapons, tools, and parts for their airships. Throughout Early Access, the game will be updated with new areas to explore, resources to gather, recipes to learn, and better airship parts. More story content and features for the endgame are also planned.
Loric is sharing its plans for Echoes of Elysium while the game is in Early Access. They’ll be regularly updating the game to improve performance, make it easier to play, and add helpful features. These updates will include bug fixes, more language options, controller compatibility, ways to customize your ship, and support for the Steam Deck. Beyond these ongoing improvements, Loric is planning two large content expansions to be released in 2026.
The Spring Expansion brings exciting updates like unpredictable storms, challenging new enemies, and advanced airship parts, culminating in a brand new boss fight. This will be followed by the Summer Expansion, which introduces a unique biome to explore, including caves and dungeons. Players will also gain access to the Pilot class, enjoy more in-depth customization options, and face even more dangerous enemies. All of these updates are being developed with direct input from the community during Early Access.
To help us achieve our development goals for Echoes of Elysium, we’ve upgraded the game from Unity 2021 to Unity 6.3. This provides a much more stable and efficient technical base for future work. According to Loric Games CEO Brian Johnson, the team is proud of their progress and excited to continue developing the game with the support of our community. The upgrade to Unity 6.3 will significantly improve the game’s performance and allow for better development going forward.
Explore the beautiful world of Elysium, a place where old technology meets stunning scenery. Players captain customizable airships, not just as transportation, but as mobile bases for gathering resources, building items, and battling enemies in the skies.
Explore a lost paradise with friends – up to six of you can team up! But beware, dangerous creatures powered by souls roam the skies. You’ll need to collect resources, build powerful tools and even airships to survive and defend yourselves in this shattered world. This is a survival RPG experience, but with a twist – everything happens in the air!
