Online Co-Op Is Coming To This Smash-Hit, But It’ll Be Tough For Systems To Handle

I don’t usually enjoy roguelike games, but Vampire Survivors is different. It’s a truly exceptional and incredibly addictive game – almost as irresistible as blood is to a vampire!

I’ve spent over 100 hours playing, and I’m so excited they’re finally adding online co-op – it’s the one feature I always felt the game needed!

Vampire Survivor’s Next Update Finally Brings Online Chaos

Poncle announced that a big update, Version 1.14, will be released this fall for both PC and consoles. The update includes five major new features, starting with a new online co-op mode that lets up to four players team up.

The game lets you team up with up to three friends online, just like the creators envisioned. A funny trailer playfully asks if having more players makes the game easier, staying true to the studio’s comedic style. You can watch the trailer below.

I’m wondering how the game will run smoothly online with so many players, enemies, and things happening on screen at once. Keeping everything stable and preventing crashes seems like a huge challenge, but I have confidence in the developers, Poncle, to pull it off.

The developers are planning to announce a major new feature next week. They’ve hinted it will address a frequently asked question from players, and I’m really excited to find out what it is!

You can play Vampire Survivors on PC, as well as on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and phones or tablets running iOS or Android.
